Individuals

You can make a big difference, especially when your support is combined with the efforts of other individuals. Here’s three ways to help.

Volunteer
Do you want to volunteer on Christmas Day? Please download the form below and email it to sarah.thyssen@smhow.org.au by the 20th of November. You will be required to attend a volunteer briefing session. If your application is successful, you will also be required to attend an orientation session at St Mary's House of Welcome, 165 - 169 Brunswick Street Fitzroy. Sessions start at 7pm. At the orientation session you will be taken through the safety aspects of the event, be given role specific information and get to meet the other volunteers.

We kindly ask that volunteers consider making a $10 contribution towards the cost of resourcing the volunteers on the day. This contribution will offset the cost of t-shirts, police checks and administration.

Financial
No matter how big or small your donation, we’d be very grateful. Every dollar counts towards covering the costs of putting on The Big Give. Naturally, donations are tax deductible.

Items
We also welcome items we can use at The Big Give, like decorations and food for the Christmas lunch. So if you have something you think might help, please contact us with the details.

Transport
We want people to get to and from The Big Give as easily as possible. So if you have the time as well as the means to safely transport our guests, we’d really love to hear from you. This can be something as small as a car or as big as a bus.
